Metal Cutting Technology

Short course description and information

Metal Cutting Technology is a technical training course for all people working in the metal cutting industry. The training material has been developed by Sandvik Coromant based on the needs of production skills all over the world. The course content, however, is “Brand Neutral.” The target groups for this training are production managers, machine operators, method engineers, programmers, universities, high schools and learning institutes.

Objectives

The objective of the course is to create awareness, a certain level of understanding, and some application skills in the field of metal cutting technology and the related machining processes relevant to the different industries

Assessment

Completed Sandvik metal cutting technology exam with minimum pass mark of 60% consisting of a theory exam and calculations using formulas.
