Vericut Machine Simulation
Short course description and information
The course is based on Vericut software by CGTech which is used for verification, simulation and optimization of NC programs prior to them being run on the actual CNC machine tool.
Objectives
The objective of the course is to teach learners the functionality of the Vericut software related to verification, simulation and optimisation.

3 Full days at a regional PtSA Centre of Excellence

- Introduction to a VERICUT simulation
- Monitor VERICUT simulation
- Find and Detect Errors
- Measure Features with X-Caliper
- Compare Cut Part to Design with AUTODIFF
- Day 1 Review Session
- Importing Fixture, Stock and Design Models
- Create Coordinate Systems
- Move and Locate Models
- Add NC Programs and define Work Offset
- Create a Tool Library
- Create a Tool Library using STEP Assemblies
- Using MDI to Validate Part Setup
- Cut Stock Transition between Setups
- Day 2 Review Session
- Create a Project Template
- Generate Reports
- Introduction to OptiPath
- Introduction to Force
