On 21 October 2025, the PtSA Gauteng Regional Networking Event, proudly sponsored and hosted by Stillam Group, brought together industry leaders, members, and partners for an afternoon of engagement, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. The event began with a relaxed meet-and-greet session, complete with refreshments and sweet treats.
Opening Remarks: Strengthening the TDM Network
PtSA Gauteng Regional Chair, Bevan Davis, opened proceedings, mentioning the importance of skills development, and networking, and clustering between members, stating that this will be the key to the continued success and resilience of the TDM Sector.
Industry Insights from Stillam Group
Stillam Group presented an inspiring overview of their journey from inception to their current status, including their latest offerings in key areas such as CAM software, recruitment for industry, and metrology solutions, among others.
Global Opportunities Ahead: ISTMA 2026 World Conference
PtSA National Secretary, Bob Williamson, then took the stage to announce the upcoming ISTMA 17th World Conference, set to take place in Shanghai, China, in 2026. The presentation outlined the global networking potential offered by PtSA as a member of ISTMA and reiterated, in the opening statement, the importance of networking. He encouraged members to attend, not only to network but also to gain unique insight on why the Chinese TDM sector is so successful, commenting that transparency is a key item on the agenda for the event. PtSA will put together a special tour package should there be enough interest.

Engagement and Collaboration
Following the presentations, PtSA group CEO, Tapiwa Samanga, facilitated an interactive Q&A session before handing over to Bevan Davis to close the session.
A productive networking session then took place, where members could engage with one another and discuss possible collaboration. Alongside the networking session, some product demonstrations were done to inform members of the latest available CAD/CAM, 3D Printing and Lubrication technologies available.
