Building Bridges for the Future
On Tuesday, April 15, 2025, the PtSA Centre of Excellence, Western Cape hosted a vibrant and engaging Job Fair that brought together our member companies and talented students in preparation for the upcoming on-the-job training (OJT) cycle. The event served as a crucial bridge between industry and future professionals, offering both parties the opportunity to connect, engage, and prepare for a successful collaboration.

Industry Participation and Collaboration
The day began with a warm welcome and a collective introduction highlighting the purpose and importance of on-the-job training. Both students and company representatives were reminded of how these practical experiences enhance learning, build skills, and create meaningful pathways to employment.
Each participating member company then gave a brief introduction about their organisation—sharing their missions, industries, and the types of opportunities available for students in the upcoming cycle. This allowed students to gain valuable insight into the diverse workplace environments they may soon become part of.
One-on-One Interviews and Student Engagement
After a short networking break, companies began individual interviews with students shortlisted for the upcoming OJT cycle. Meanwhile, other students showcased their impressive work pieces and personal portfolios at exhibition stands, creating a dynamic space for peer learning, creativity, and recognition.
The atmosphere was energetic and inspiring. Member companies were impressed by the talent, preparedness, and professionalism displayed by the students. Likewise, the students expressed appreciation for the exposure, guidance, and interest shown by the industry representatives.

A Promising Outlook
As PTSA, we are proud to see such enthusiasm and commitment from both our industry partners and future graduates. Events like this not only open doors for employment but also foster mutual respect and understanding between education and enterprise.
We look forward to a successful on-the-job training cycle ahead and will continue to support initiatives that prepare our students for the real-world challenges and opportunities they will soon face
